Due to oil leakage and reduction of the internal lubricant of the machine, poor lubrication and insufficient cooling of the machine parts will cause early damage to the machine parts and even leave hidden dangers of accidents.
First, the main reasons for common vehicle oil leakage
1． Product (accessory) quality, material or process is not good; structural design problems.
2． Improper assembly at high speed, the mating surface is not clean, the gasket is damaged, displaced or not installed in accordance with the operating regulations.
3． Uneven tightening of the tightening nut, broken wire, or loosening, etc., cause the work to fail.
4． After long-term use, the sealing material wears out, and deteriorates due to aging, deformation and failure.
5． Too much lubricant, too high oil level, or wrong oil.
6. The joint surface of parts (side covers, thin-walled parts) is bent and deformed, and the casing is damaged, so that the lubricant leaks out.
7. After the vent plug and the check valve are blocked, oil leakage often occurs in the weak seal due to the difference in air pressure between the inside and outside of the casing.
Measures to prevent vehicle leakage
1． Pay attention to the cushion effect. The gaskets between the parts of the car at its stationary parts (such as the joint end faces, end covers, shells, covers, flat enamel covers, etc.) play a leakproof seal. If the material, production quality and installation do not meet the technical specifications, it will not function as a leak-proof seal or even cause an accident. Such as oil pan or valve cover, due to the large contact area, it is not easy to compact, resulting in oil leakage.
2． All types of fastening nuts on the car must be tightened to the specified torque. Over-tightening the gasket will leak; over-tightening will cause the metal around the screw hole to bulge or the screw thread to slip and cause oil leakage. In addition, if the oil drain plug of the oil pan is not tightened or loosened, it will easily cause oil loss, and then there will be a machine damage accident such as "burning the tile and holding the shaft".
3． Replace the failed oil seal in time. Many moving parts (such as oil seals and O-rings) on the car will be misplaced due to improper installation. Some oil seals lose their elasticity due to rubber aging if used for too long. Any leaks found should be updated in a timely manner.
4． Avoid blockage of check valve and ventilation valve. As a result, the temperature inside the tank rises, oil and gas fill the entire space and cannot be discharged, which increases the pressure inside the tank, increases lubricant consumption, and shortens the replacement cycle. After the engine ventilation system is blocked, the resistance of the piston is increased, and the fuel consumption is increased. Due to the effect of the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the casing, oil leakage often occurs at the weak seal. Therefore, regular inspection, dredging and cleaning of vehicles are required.
5． Properly resolve all kinds of tubing joint seals. Car joint nuts are often disassembled, which is easy to slip and break and loosen, which can cause oil leakage. Replace the union nut, and use the grinding method to solve the conical surface seal, so that the nut is pressed to solve the seal.
6. Avoid wheel hub oil. Too much lubricating grease in the wheel bearing and cavity, or improper oil packaging, poor quality and aging failure; excessive wheel temperature caused by frequent braking; loose axle nuts, etc. will cause the wheel to throw oil. Therefore, the "cavity lubrication method (that is, proper lubrication)" is used to clear the vent holes.
